2021 Nantou Dong Ding

Dong Ding is a Taiwanese oolong renowned for its complex, layered character and partially oxidised leaves, producing a rich, aromatic tea that shares some of the depth and evolving flavours found in aged teas like pu’erh.

This first-flush Dong Ding comes from Nantou and is skillfully machine-roasted by a farmer specialising in the cultivar. Years of experience have created a tea that is creamy and nutty, with a smooth, medium-thick liquor. Flavours unfold from a creamy base to roasted greens, fruit notes, delicate florals, and even hints of roasted coconut.

A very engaging and relaxing tea, it works beautifully in Gong Fu style or in a bowl, enjoyable on both warm and cool days.
